Our therapist-led small groups consist of 10 or fewer members and are organized by life stage — such as fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, loss, and menopause. Each session includes educational and self-care tools, with the option to share your experience or simply listen. Our groups are designed as an extension of individual therapy, offering a supportive community space to reflect and build on your one-on-one work. In group therapy, there is an added kind of healing — the kind that comes from being with others who understand. You are matched with your group of 10 or less other women based on what you're currently experiencing (e.g., fertility journeys, pregnant, postpartum, experiencing loss, parenthood), state of residence, schedule, preferences, and goals. If a group is part of your care plan, we will work with you to find a group that meets your schedule. Your group sessions will be at the same time and day every week or other week unless prior arrangements are made to accommodate scheduling conflicts. While your group forms, you may have weekly individual sessions with your therapist. Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy in which a small group of participants meet to discuss their experiences with a licensed therapist. Groups are a safe space to harness support networks of other women on the same journey (e.g., pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, etc). In each session, the group therapist will share educational and self care tools and patients will have the option to discuss their experience or just listen. Our therapists have been qualified and certified by their state of licensure after completion of the necessary education, exams, and training.
Yes! On a case by case basis we are able to offer financial aid to patients who qualify. The maximum aid is up to 50% off the stated price of therapy for patients whose insurance does not cover Seven Starling.
Yes! Many women suffering from maternal mental health challenges can benefit from a combination of therapy and medication. Offering this service at Seven Starling is part of our comprehensive approach to care. We notify you in regular reports when patients begin new medications or change dosages so that care can be seamlessly coordinated. Note: At this time we’re not able to offer medications to pregnant patients. Pregnant patients who think they might benefit from medication should consult their OB care provider. We are proud of our industry leading time to care. We make immediate contact with your patient when they book a free consultation via the referral card or when you submit an EMR, FAX, Screener, or Email referral for them. Same or next day free consultations with our friendly Care Coordinators are almost always available.
